The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality A Level Classics lessons on a one-to-one or small group basis.
  • Support students in preparing for A Level examinations and assessments.
  • Engage and motivate students with diverse learning needs, including those with SEND.
  • Collaborate with other staff to provide a consistent and supportive learning experience.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
  • Contribute to the school’s ethos of academic excellence and inclusion.
  • Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good degree or postgraduate qualification in Classics or a related subject.
  • Strong academic credentials and the ability to teach A Level Classics effectively.
  • Confidence in teaching on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching A Level Classics or related subjects.
  • Experience in supporting students with PPE, TSA, or UCAS applications.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs or diverse learning needs.
  • Previous teaching experience or relevant postgraduate qualifications.
