The Opportunity:

A school in Thailand is seeking a part-time Music Teacher to inspire young learners and deliver a dynamic, developmentally aligned music program. This role emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and a lifelong appreciation of music, making it an ideal opportunity for passionate educators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging music instruction for students aged 4–11 using Orff-based approaches and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Facilitate active music-making through singing, movement, rhythm, and instrumental experiences.
  • Integrate Orff and Kodály methodologies into a structured, sequential music curriculum.
  • Support student learning through differentiated instruction, data-informed adjustments, and timely feedback.
  • Collaborate with counselors, administration, and other staff to support student well-being and learning success.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and curriculum planning to improve student outcomes.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to support student progress and well-being.
  • Contribute positively to school culture by fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in music or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching music to young children (ages 4–11).
  • Strong vocal technique and experience with mallet percussion, recorder, and non-pitched percussion.
  • Familiarity with Orff and Kodály teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural, international environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with international curricula such as the International Baccalaureate.
  • Background in early childhood education or special needs support.
  • Experience with music ensembles or after-school programs.
  • Fluency in multiple languages, particularly Thai or other Asian languages.
  • Strong background in music performance or composition.
