Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Physical Education lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement sports programmes that promote confidence, resilience, and teamwork.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive approach to physical activity and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s commitment to a holistic education.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in PE, providing constructive feedback.
  • Participate in extracurricular sports activities and events.
  • Ensure a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all students.
  • Support the school’s mission and values through teaching and pastoral care.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in teaching Physical Education.
  • Strong knowledge of sports and physical activity for children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting with a strong focus on extracurricular activities.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum for Physical Education.
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently as part of a team.
  • Experience with coaching or leading sports teams.
