Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach the National Curriculum and other PE programmes effectively, ensuring a stimulating learning environment
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Deliver engaging extra-curricular clubs and fixtures
  • Contribute to the planning and development of the PE curriculum
  • Support the pastoral care and discipline of students within the school
  • Participate in professional development, meetings, and training sessions
  • Monitor and record student progress and attainment
  • Assist with administrative routines and public examinations

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge
  • Experience in teaching physical education at the appropriate level
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Experience with extra-curricular activities and sports coaching
  • Familiarity with the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme
  • Experience in pastoral care or form tutoring
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and SEND policies
