The Opportunity:

As a Sports Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of sports and physical education across the school. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a vibrant and active community, contributing to the development of students through sport and physical activity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning, delivery, and administration of sports activities and lessons.
• Support coaches in delivering sessions in major team sports such as Rugby, Hockey, Cricket, and Netball.
• Encourage student participation and engagement in the school's sports and activities programme.
• Maintain and update sports records, equipment, and facilities.
• Promote a positive and inclusive sporting culture among students.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and other Sports Assistants to ensure consistency and quality in sports provision.
• Assist with the organisation of fixtures, matches, and competitions.
• Provide support during training sessions and sporting events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A graduate qualification from a recognised institution.
• A proven ability to coach at least one of the school's major team sports.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Flexibility and willingness to work across a range of sports and activities.

Preferred

• Experience coaching in more than one of the school's major team sports.
• Experience in sports administration or event organisation.
• Knowledge of sports development and physical education principles.
• Previous experience working in an educational or sports-related setting.
