Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum and promote active, healthy lifestyles.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe sporting environment that encourages participation, teamwork, and student well-being.
  • Monitor and report on students’ physical development, skills progression, and achievement using effective assessment strategies.
  • Contribute to PE planning, curriculum development, and collaboration within the department and across key stages.
  • Organise and lead extracurricular sports activities, fixtures, tournaments, and whole-school sporting events.
  • Support the pastoral development of students, modelling positive behaviour and sportsmanship in line with the school’s values.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for development.
  • Participate actively in school events, professional learning, and wider school initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Fluent Arabic speaker
  • Bachelor’s degree in PE or a relevant subject with PGCE / QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)
  • Experience teaching the English National Curriculum, preferably in an international setting
  • Strong management skills and commitment to student well-being
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills

Preferred

  • Experience with extracurricular sports and competitive events
  • Background in using technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • Experience in a bilingual or international school setting
