The Opportunity:

As a PE Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality physical education lessons, promoting health, fitness, and wellbeing, and inspiring students to develop a lifelong love of sport and physical activity. You will work in a dynamic, high-performing team and contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular sports and competitive events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured PE lessons in line with the English National Curriculum and promote active, healthy lifestyles.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe sporting environment that encourages participation, teamwork, and student well-being.
  • Use effective assessment strategies to monitor, track, and report on students’ physical development, skills progression, and achievement.
  • Contribute to PE planning, curriculum development, and collaboration within the department and across key stages.
  • Organise and lead extracurricular sports activities, fixtures, tournaments, and whole-school sporting events.
  • Support the pastoral development of students, modelling positive behaviour, resilience, and sportsmanship in line with the school’s values.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for development.
  • Participate actively in school events, professional learning, and wider school initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in PE or a relevant subject with PGCE / QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification).
  • Experience teaching the English National Curriculum, preferably in an international setting.
  • Strong management skills and commitment to student well-being.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
  • Fluent English speaker.

Preferred

  • Experience with extracurricular sports and event organisation.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven learning or technology-enhanced teaching methods.
  • Background in pastoral care or student development support.
