Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons that inspire and challenge students across all key stages.
  • Develop and implement engaging academic PE courses, including GCSE and A Level qualifications.
  • Support the growth of the department through involvement in extra-curricular activities, fixtures, and training.
  • Promote a culture of inclusivity, teamwork, and personal development through sport.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and provide enrichment opportunities.
  • Work closely with pastoral teams to support student well-being and achievement.
  • Participate in school events, sports tours, and community initiatives.
  • Ensure a safe and motivating environment for all students during physical activity.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in PE.
  • Proven ability to teach both practical and academic PE to a high standard.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and the development of well-rounded individuals.
  • Experience working within a school environment, ideally in a faith-based setting.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching academic PE at GCSE and A Level.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular sports and leadership programmes.
  • Experience with sports leadership or coaching qualifications.
  • Familiarity with Jewish traditions or a commitment to working in a faith-based school.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving outstanding student outcomes in PE.
