A PSHE Teacher Graduate Assistant is needed to support the school’s PSHE programme, including evenings and weekends. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain valuable teaching experience and develop their career in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of PSHE lessons to students aged 13 to 17.
- Assist with the administration of the school’s boarding and co-curricular activities during evenings and weekends.
- Provide cover for other teaching staff when required.
- Contribute to the smooth running of a busy and dynamic school environment.
- Engage with students in a supportive and encouraging manner.
- Assist with general administrative tasks related to the PSHE department.
- Collaborate with other members of the teaching and support staff.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
- A strong interest in teaching and working with young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Background in psychology or a related field.
- Experience in education or working with young people.
- Familiarity with PSHE curriculum and teaching methods.
- Experience with EAL (English as an Additional Language) teaching.
