The Opportunity:

As a Personal Assistant, you will provide high-level administrative support to the Head of the Junior School and leadership team, ensuring the smooth operation of a dynamic academic environment. This term-time only role offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a school renowned for its strong academic results and vibrant community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the calendars of the Head and Deputy Heads
  • Prepare and distribute communications, including newsletters, bulletins, and social media content
  • Support the planning, logistics, and delivery of school events such as Open Events and parent talks
  • Take minutes at weekly staff meetings
  • Provide administrative support to the Junior School leadership team
  • Cover the front desk and act as a key point of contact for staff, parents, and visitors
  • Coordinate and manage school databases and IT systems
  • Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of a busy academic environment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant in a senior administrative role
  • Experience in minute-taking, meeting coordination, and managing school databases such as SIMS
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Customer-focused approach to supporting staff, students, and parents

Preferred

  • Previous experience working in a school environment
  • Additional experience in event planning and public relations
