Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students to ensure their academic and personal development.
  • Monitor student progress and work closely with teaching staff to ensure students remain on track.
  • Build positive relationships with students and support them in developing study skills and well-being.
  • Deliver one-to-one and group sessions to address individual student needs and aspirations.
  • Promote a culture of inclusivity, respect, and high achievement within the school community.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to support student transitions and career planning.
  • Ensure all safeguarding and welfare policies are followed at all times.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience working with young people in an educational or youth support setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Experience in a school or college environment is essential.

Preferred

  • Experience in pastoral care or student support roles.
  • Knowledge of AS/A levels or Level 3 vocational courses.
  • Experience with online learning platforms or digital tools.
  • Understanding of inclusive education practices.
  • Previous involvement in student enrichment or career guidance initiatives.
