The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PHSE & Sociology teacher to join our outstanding team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning, contributing to the development of our pupils both academically and personally, in line with our Jesuit values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching in PHSE & Sociology that challenges and inspires pupils
- Contribute to the intellectual and personal development of pupils in line with our vision
- Engage actively in school life, including extracurricular activities and events
- Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning
- Support the school’s commitment to social responsibility and the common good
- Implement Rosenshine's principles of instruction in lesson planning and delivery
- Promote a knowledge-rich curriculum and inclusive learning environment
- Participate in professional development and curriculum planning opportunities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher status with expertise in Sociology
- Passion for teaching and commitment to pupil achievement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive school culture
- Alignment with values of intellectual rigour, social responsibility, and opportunity for all
- Commitment to the Catholic ethos and core vision of the school
Preferred
- Experience with PSHE curriculum delivery
- Experience in developing and implementing Rosenshine-based teaching strategies
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Involvement in extracurricular activities and school events
- Experience in curriculum planning and leadership
