Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Physical Education lessons that meet curriculum standards and promote student wellbeing.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that inspire students and support their academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the school.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities and sports programs.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive school culture that values diversity, creativity, and resilience.
  • Support the school’s vision of “Enjoy, Aspire, Achieve” through high-quality teaching and student engagement.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing development of the PE department.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A high-quality degree in Physical Education
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience in delivering outstanding teaching at Key Stages 4 and 5
  • Strong ability to inspire, motivate, and support students of all abilities
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and a safe learning environment
  • Experience in leading and developing a team of educators

Preferred

  • Experience in leading subject initiatives that have improved student achievement
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum for England
  • Experience in a multicultural, international school setting
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Passion for extra-curricular sports and activities
