The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Teaching Assistant Grade 4 to provide essential support to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of learning activities for individuals and groups of pupils.
• Monitor and track pupil progress, providing regular feedback to the class teacher.
• Build positive and constructive relationships with pupils, parents, and carers.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to the needs of pupils with SEND.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment.
• Assist with administrative tasks as required, including record-keeping and reporting.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience in supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
• A positive, patient, and compassionate approach to working with children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Basic understanding of SEND and inclusive education practices.

Preferred

• Previous experience in a teaching or educational support role.
• Relevant qualifications such as a Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
• Experience in a secondary school setting.
