The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physics Teacher to join a dynamic Science faculty. This role offers the opportunity to teach at both GCSE and A level, contributing to a high-achieving department with a strong academic record.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physics lessons to students across a range of ability levels.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies that promote student success.
  • Support the school’s commitment to academic excellence by contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development.
  • Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students as part of a strong house system.
  • Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience in teaching Physics at both GCSE and A level.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student progress and academic achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a strong pastoral support system.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methods and technology.
  • Experience in a large, high-achieving school environment.
  • Passion for inspiring students and promoting a love of Physics.
