The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physics Teacher to join a dynamic Science faculty. This role offers the opportunity to teach at both GCSE and A level, contributing to a high-achieving department with a strong academic record.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Physics lessons to students across a range of ability levels.
- Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies that promote student success.
- Support the school’s commitment to academic excellence by contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development.
- Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students as part of a strong house system.
- Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience in teaching Physics at both GCSE and A level.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student progress and academic achievement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a strong pastoral support system.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methods and technology.
- Experience in a large, high-achieving school environment.
- Passion for inspiring students and promoting a love of Physics.
