Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality A Level and BTEC Physics courses to students.
  • Support students in progressing to university, apprenticeships, and other pathways.
  • Collaborate with department colleagues to develop and share teaching resources.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students, both academically and personally.
  • Participate in department meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Engage in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Contribute to the school’s inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience or Early Careers Teacher (ECT) status.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physics and related fields.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in teaching A Level Physics or willingness to transition into sixth form teaching.

Preferred

  • Experience with BTEC Level 3 Engineering courses.
  • Experience in delivering A Level Physics or related subjects.
  • Experience with safeguarding and student wellbeing.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience in curriculum development or innovative teaching methods.
