The Opportunity:

A Teaching Assistant - Reception to Year 2 is needed to support children aged 4-7 years in a nurturing and dynamic learning environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education and committed to safeguarding and supporting young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Class Teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and enrichment activities
• Supervise children during break and lunch times
• Work with small groups and individual children as directed
• Assist with co-curricular activities and accompany students on school trips
• Support in providing wrap-around care including breakfast club, afterschool care, and holiday club provisions

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A relevant childcare qualification (minimum level 3)
• Valid Paediatric First Aid qualification
• GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics (Grade C or above)
• Experience working with children aged 4-7 years
• Knowledge of the EYFS and Key Stage 1 Curriculum
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of child development and learning processes
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection legislation
• Good ICT skills
• A willingness to support the whole life of the school

Preferred

• Experience in delivering evidence-based interventions
• Experience in tracking and monitoring children’s progress
• A Teaching Assistant qualification
