The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Premises Assistant to support the continued growth and development of our school campuses. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about health and safety, fire risk management, and contributing to a positive and safe environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and order across all school campuses.
- Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed consistently and effectively.
- Conduct regular fire risk assessments and manage fire safety procedures.
- Support the implementation of building projects and expansion plans.
- Assist in the management of premises-related tasks in collaboration with the wider team.
- Ensure all areas of the school are secure and well-maintained at all times.
- Communicate effectively with staff and students to support the smooth operation of the school.
- Proactively identify and report any maintenance or safety issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in premises management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety and fire risk management procedures.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A proactive and can-do attitude with a commitment to teamwork.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
Preferred
- Experience working in an educational setting, particularly with learners who have complex needs.
- Knowledge of fire safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience with building maintenance or construction projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary based on NJC Pay Scale, Grade 5, Points 11 - 15.
- Full-time, permanent position with 36 hours per week.
