The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dynamic and experienced Primary PE Teacher and Head of Department to lead and inspire students through innovative and impactful physical education programs. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Physical Education department, ensuring alignment with the UK National Curriculum.
• Deliver high-quality PE lessons that promote student engagement and physical well-being.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that support student progress and achievement.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff members within the department.
• Coordinate extracurricular sports activities and events.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
• Collaborate with other departments to support cross-curricular learning and student development.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters student confidence and participation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification.
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience in an international school setting.
• Experience with the UK National Curriculum.
• Strong understanding of child development and learning theories.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Fluency in English as a first language.

Preferred

• Master’s Degree or higher in Education or Physical Education.
• Experience in a leadership or HOD role.
• Demonstrated success in achieving outstanding examination results.
• Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Passion for creative and imaginative teaching methods.
