The Opportunity:
As a Primary School Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds and helping students develop the skills they need to thrive. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality education in Key Stage 1 and 2, creating a supportive and engaging classroom environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that promote literacy, numeracy, and personal development.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and joyful learning environment that supports the emotional and academic growth of all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement cross-curricular projects that reflect the school’s ecological and educational vision.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and carers.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice and student outcomes.
- Support students in developing social, emotional, and cognitive skills through experiential and outdoor learning opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with families and the wider community to enhance student learning and well-being.
- Promote a culture of sustainability, empathy, and global citizenship within the classroom and school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Native-level English language skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor's degree with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching Key Stages 1 and/or 2 in British schools.
- A track record of outstanding teaching and learning, with the ability to create a caring and nurturing classroom environment.
Preferred
- Experience with project-based and experiential learning.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum for England.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for sustainability, environmental education, and community engagement.
