The Opportunity:

As a Primary STEAM Teacher, you will lead the development and delivery of an innovative STEAM curriculum, ensuring it aligns with school values and supports student learning. You will inspire students and support teachers through coaching and collaboration, helping to create a dynamic and future-focused learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and delivery of STEAM learning across Early Years and Primary, ensuring alignment with school values and a coherent pathway.
  • Model high-quality STEAM teaching and support teachers in embedding inquiry-based and hands-on approaches.
  • Monitor STEAM progress through assessment and data analysis, and communicate updates through reports and meetings.
  • Strengthen cross-curricular STEAM opportunities and build community engagement through parent workshops and events.
  • Support whole-school initiatives and undertake duties as assigned by the Deputy Head of School or Head of Primary.
  • Deliver workshops and practical demonstrations for staff, students, and parents.
  • Collaborate with the Secondary STEAM Lead Teacher and other departments to ensure a seamless STEAM learning experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognised teaching qualification and relevant degree.
  • Proven success in leading or teaching STEAM in a Primary setting.
  • Experience in innovative STEAM pedagogy, including robotics, coding, digital technologies, and engineering.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and working with children.

Preferred

  • International teaching experience.
  • Experience with inquiry-based learning and hands-on STEAM approaches.
  • Leadership experience in education or STEAM-related initiatives.
  • Experience in cross-curricular collaboration and community engagement.
