The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and preparing resources for students aged 2 to 11
- Provide individual and small-group assistance to help pupils develop their skills and confidence
- Supervise the class for short periods when required
- Promote positive behaviour and social development in line with school policies
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and colleagues to enhance pupil progress
- Contribute to school events, open days, and extracurricular activities
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all students
- Assist in the implementation of the school’s scheme of work and values
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant early years teaching assistant qualification
- Passion for working with children and supporting their learning
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and colleagues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to pastoral care and promoting positive behaviour
Preferred
- Experience in early years education
- Familiarity with the national curriculum and its integration into teaching
- Experience with extracurricular activities such as music, sport, and drama
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting
