Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Assist with the preparation of teaching resources and materials
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils to enhance their learning
  • Supervise classes during short periods when required
  • Promote positive behaviour and social development in line with school policies
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and colleagues to support pupil progress
  • Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in events and open days
  • Assist with pastoral care and ensure all pupils feel safe, supported, and included

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Ability to support both academic and pastoral needs of pupils
  • Flexibility and willingness to work within a team

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or learning support roles
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum and teaching methodologies
  • Experience with extracurricular activities or pastoral care
  • Familiarity with the diamond model of teaching
