The Opportunity:

As a Progression Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students to achieve their goals and succeed in their studies. This is a key position within the Student Services team, where you will help shape the academic and personal development of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with academic progression and personal development.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students to help them reach their full potential.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and other support services to ensure a cohesive approach to student success.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
• Deliver one-to-one and group sessions to address learning challenges and support aspirations.
• Organise and participate in activities that enhance student engagement and motivation.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience of working with young people.
• Commitment to shared values and a can-do attitude.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
• Initiative and a willingness to take on new challenges.

Preferred

• Experience working with young men or knowledge of community languages.
• Previous experience in a similar support role within education.
• Understanding of progression pathways and student support strategies.
