The Opportunity:
As a PSHE Teacher, you will deliver engaging tutorial programmes and workshops to support students aged 16-18 in preparing for adulthood. You will also provide guidance on UCAS applications, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities, playing a crucial role in shaping students' futures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality PSHE tutorials and workshops to support student development and transition into adulthood.
- Provide guidance and support to students throughout the UCAS application process.
- Assist students in exploring and accessing apprenticeship and employment opportunities.
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and outcomes.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and support strategies.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of a broad and inclusive curriculum.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in PSHE or similar subject areas.
- Experience in delivering group tutorials and workshops to 16-18 year olds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide guidance on UCAS applications and career pathways.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- Experience working in a further education setting.
Preferred
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Familiarity with apprenticeship and employment pathways.
- Experience in developing and delivering innovative PSHE programmes.
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL).
