The Opportunity:
As a Work Experience Adviser, you will support students in gaining valuable work experience and developing essential employability skills. You will play a key role in helping students make informed decisions about their future careers, whether in employment, further education, or training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage meaningful work placements that align with students’ aspirations and areas of study.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local employers and partners to secure quality work experience opportunities.
- Engage with students to prepare them for the workplace and support them throughout their placements.
- Empower students to make informed decisions about their future career pathways.
- Deliver high-quality work-related learning activities that enhance employability skills.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of work experience programmes on student outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Work-related Learning and Employability Manager to ensure programme success.
- Provide guidance and support to students in exploring career options and progression routes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in coordinating work placements or similar roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in supporting students with career development and employability.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with employers and educational partners.
- Commitment to inclusive education and supporting diverse learners.
Preferred
- Experience in further education or a related field.
- Knowledge of work-related learning and employability frameworks.
- Experience with career guidance or student support services.
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and best practices in education.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary on the Support Staff Pay Scale at point 11.
- 36.5 hours of work per week, with flexibility for term time plus 10 days.
