The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Psychology Teacher to join our successful Faculty of Science, Social Science, and Care. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality A Level Psychology and contribute to a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality A Level Psychology lessons to a range of students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and progression.
  • Support the wider Faculty by contributing to curriculum development and extra-curricular activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the Faculty.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Psychology and incorporate them into teaching practice.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Experience teaching A Level Psychology or a similar subject.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to student success and professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Sixth Form College or further education setting.
  • Knowledge of vocational courses or T Levels.
  • Experience with extra-curricular activities or student support initiatives.
  • Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and support for learners with additional needs.
