The Opportunity:

As Lead Receptionist, you will play a vital role in managing the front-of-house operations and leading a small team of reception staff. This is a key position within the administration team, ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and safe environment for all visitors, students, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a small team of reception staff, ensuring consistent high standards across all functions.
  • Coordinate day-to-day front-of-house operations and provide a professional first point of contact for all visitors.
  • Oversee the school’s main switchboard and respond to inquiries efficiently and professionally.
  • Support administrative processes including attendance updates, visitor management, and student services.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure safeguarding procedures are consistently followed.
  • Contribute to key school events such as open mornings and parents’ evenings.
  • Ensure the reception area reflects the school’s values and standards at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong reception and administrative experience, preferably within a school environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities calmly and efficiently.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in team leadership or management.
