Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Education lessons that inspire and engage students.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum aligned with current educational research and the school’s values.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching approaches.
  • Support students in exploring personal and spiritual questions through meaningful discussion and reflection.
  • Participate in the school’s extracurricular programme and contribute to the wider life of the school.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Work closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team to drive school improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s Christian values and ethos.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
  • Passion for teaching and learning.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development or innovative teaching methods.
  • Familiarity with the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme or similar programmes.
  • Experience with pastoral care or student support.
  • Background in community engagement or extracurricular leadership.
