The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join a school where RE is central to the curriculum and student development. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Religious Education lessons to students in Years 7–11, with a focus on GCSE and A Level qualifications.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and personal reflection.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share innovative teaching resources and strategies.
• Support the school’s Catholic ethos and promote the values of respect, humility, and integrity.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.
• Contribute to the wider development of teaching practice across the school and local authority network.
• Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.
• Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Religious Education.
• Strong subject knowledge in RE and an understanding of the Catholic faith.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve high standards.
• Experience in developing and delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the school.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching GCSE and A Level Religious Studies.
• Experience with collaborative planning and resource sharing.
• Experience with pastoral care and student support.
• Experience with extra-curricular activities related to RE or faith-based initiatives.
