The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join a school where RE is central to the curriculum and student development. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ learning and spiritual growth within a vibrant and supportive educational community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Religious Education lessons to students in Years 7–11, with a focus on GCSE and A Level qualifications.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and personal reflection.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share innovative teaching resources and strategies.
- Support the school’s Catholic ethos and promote the values of respect, humility, and integrity.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to the wider development of teaching practice across the school and local authority network.
- Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.
- Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Religious Education.
- Strong subject knowledge in RE and an understanding of the Catholic faith.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve high standards.
- Experience in developing and delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching GCSE and A Level Religious Studies.
- Experience with collaborative planning and resource sharing.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Experience with extra-curricular activities related to RE or faith-based initiatives.
