The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant (RE) to support students in Religious Education within a Catholic context. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student learning and to contribute to a school that values inclusion, faith, and educational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering Religious Education lessons to students aged 11-16.
- Provide one-to-one and small group assistance to students, including those with additional needs.
- Assist in planning and preparing resources for RE lessons.
- Deliver lesson cover in RE after appropriate training.
- Engage in professional development and continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Ensure the use of high-quality teaching resources and materials aligned with Catholic values.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 2 qualification or equivalent in education or a relevant field.
- Experience in supporting students with additional needs.
- Strong knowledge of Religious Education in a Catholic context.
- Commitment to inclusion and the welfare of students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or supporting learning in a school setting.
- Familiarity with Catholic teachings and values.
- Experience with CPD and professional development programs.
- Background in arts or education leadership.
