The Opportunity:

As a Year Manager (Non-Teaching), you will play a pivotal role in supporting student well-being and academic progress. This is an opportunity to join a committed team focused on creating a positive, inclusive school culture where students can flourish and feel a sense of belonging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate year group activities to ensure a consistent and supportive environment for students.
  • Support the development of student behavior, attendance, and engagement through effective pastoral care.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to monitor and improve student progress and outcomes.
  • Organize and lead events, assemblies, and activities that promote school values and student participation.
  • Provide guidance and support to students and families, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to implement school policies and initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on key student outcomes, including attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a cohesive school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a similar role within an educational setting, preferably in a school environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Preferred

  • Experience in pastoral care or student support roles.
  • Knowledge of school systems and processes, including behavior management and student progress tracking.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting in an educational context.
  • Experience working in a Multi-Academy Trust or similar educational organization.
