The Opportunity:

A Rugby Coach is needed to support the Head of Rugby and inspire students of all abilities. The role includes coaching during the Christmas Term and managing teams for weekend fixtures. This is a great opportunity for an experienced and passionate coach to contribute to a successful rugby programme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head of Rugby in developing and improving the rugby programme at the school.
• Act as the technical coach for school teams during the Christmas Term.
• Manage and coach teams, including weekend fixtures.
• Inspire and support students of all abilities to enjoy and excel in rugby.
• Deliver a structured and engaging training programme for players.
• Coordinate with other coaches and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to rugby development.
• Participate in the school’s sevens programme during the Easter term.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students during all rugby activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience of playing or coaching rugby to a high standard.
• Enthusiasm and self-motivation to coach students of all abilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to student development and sports education.

Preferred

• RFU Level 2 or 3 coaching award or equivalent.
• Experience with youth rugby coaching.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends and after school hours.
