The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Safeguarding and Inclusion Manager to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of all students and staff. This role is crucial in maintaining a secure and supportive school environment, aligned with the school’s commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote inclusion and support the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs.
- Work closely with staff, students, and external agencies to identify and address safeguarding concerns.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on safeguarding and inclusion best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safeguarding and inclusion initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and school policies.
- Support the development of a culture of care, respect, and inclusion across the school community.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate safeguarding and inclusion into the school’s strategic priorities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant experience in safeguarding, child protection, or inclusion within an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding policies, statutory requirements, and best practices.
- Experience in managing and leading safeguarding and inclusion initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external agencies.
- Commitment to promoting inclusion and equality.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational trust environment.
- Qualifications in safeguarding or child protection.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support programs.
- Experience in developing and delivering training on safeguarding and inclusion topics.
