The Opportunity:

As a School Business Manager, you will provide essential support to ensure the school operates efficiently and effectively. This role is central to maintaining a high-quality learning environment for students and staff alike. The successful candidate will contribute to the school’s mission of fostering leadership and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee financial, HR, and business operations across the school.
  • Develop and implement effective systems for premises management and ICT administration.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including governors and external agencies, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, teachers, and wider stakeholders.
  • Support the school’s leadership programme by ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to drive continuous improvement in school operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for senior management and external bodies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 9-4/A*-C.
  • Experience in management within a public or private sector setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial, HR, business, and/or premises operations.
  • Strong knowledge of ICT administration systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write reports for a range of stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience working within an educational setting.
  • Familiarity with school leadership programmes.
  • A passion for supporting student development and academic success.
