The Opportunity:
As a School Business Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the school's mission by providing leadership and management across a range of operational areas. This is a strategic position that ensures the school's resources are used effectively to support learning and achievement. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional leadership and management of school support staff to enhance their effectiveness and improve standards of learning.
- Oversee the strategic use of financial, human, and physical resources to support the school’s educational objectives.
- Manage and coordinate administrative functions, including information systems, human resources, and facility management.
- Ensure the highest standards of business ethos and professional conduct in all aspects of the role.
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all students and staff.
- Support the Senior Leadership Team in meeting the school's educational aims and priorities.
- Ensure all written communication is of the highest standard and in Standard English.
- Coordinate with external providers in areas such as cleaning, catering, and ICT services.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior management or leadership role within an educational setting.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with both teaching and support staff.
- High level of literacy and attention to detail, with the ability to produce clear and professional written communication.
- Experience in financial resource management and budgeting within a school or similar organisation.
Preferred
- Experience in managing large teams or departments within a school or educational institution.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience with information and communication technology systems used in schools.
- Familiarity with school governance and operational procedures.
