School Cleaner required in Stoke-on-Trent. Part-time, term-time only.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable School Cleaner to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff. The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth running of the school and support the wellbeing of all who visit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain classrooms, communal areas, and bathrooms to the highest standards
  • Dust, polish, vacuum, and wash floors regularly
  • Ensure kitchen areas are clean, sanitary, and well-stocked
  • Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety guidelines
  • Report any maintenance or health and safety issues promptly
  • Assist with general cleaning duties as required across the school site
  • Follow all protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and hygienic environment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and a positive, proactive attitude
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including term-time only and Monday to Friday
  • Willingness to undertake training if required

Preferred

  • Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping
  • Experience working in a special needs or education setting
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
