As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with learning, wellbeing, and personal development. You will help create a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with learning activities and care needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Encourage independence and personal growth
  • Assist teachers in delivering a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum
  • Adapt to the varied needs of pupils and be flexible in your approach
  • Build warm, supportive relationships with pupils
  • Implement individual behaviour management plans
  • Collaborate with therapeutic and clinical staff to provide holistic support

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above)
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Knowledge of SEN, SEMH, or ASD
  • Experience in working with children with SEN (paid or voluntary)

Preferred

  • Level 2+ qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
