The Opportunity:

We are looking for a dedicated School Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role is essential in supporting the school’s mission to provide a high-quality educational experience for young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean designated areas of the school to a high standard, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures and safeguarding policies at all times.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete cleaning duties efficiently.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism.
  • Use initiative to manage time effectively and complete tasks within allocated hours.
  • Participate in deep cleaning activities during school closure periods.
  • Support the Operations Manager in ensuring the school site is well-maintained.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
  • Reliability and flexibility to work across different hours and days.
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Experience with cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive annual salary of £10,283.24.
