The Opportunity:
As a School Improvement Lead (AP), you will drive whole-school improvement and lead the development of a forward-thinking curriculum aligned with the latest educational research and Ofsted framework. This is an opportunity to inspire colleagues, raise standards, and leave a lasting legacy of excellence across all phases of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the development, improvement, and outcomes of the whole school at a strategic level.
- Work closely with the Assistant Principal responsible for Teaching and Learning to support subject teams in delivering exceptional outcomes for students.
- Champion a culture of ambition, providing colleagues with the tools, confidence, and expertise needed to succeed.
- Drive curriculum innovation and ensure alignment with evidence-based research and the Ofsted framework.
- Promote a culture of high expectations, continuous improvement, and professional development across the school.
- Support the delivery of high-quality post-16 provision and improve recent GCSE results.
- Act as a visible and accessible member of the Senior Leadership Team, leading by example and being accountable for outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of a strong, inclusive school ethos and values that empower students and staff to flourish.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in roles such as Head of Department, Director of Faculty, Lead Practitioner, Senior Leader, or Consultant across multiple school settings.
- Strong track record of impact in raising standards and improving student outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge of curriculum development and evidence-based research.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Demonstrable experience in driving whole-school improvement and leading by example.
Preferred
- Experience in leading curriculum innovation and implementing Ofsted-focused strategies.
- Background in supporting post-16 provision and improving GCSE results.
- Experience in mentoring and coaching colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices.
- Strong commitment to inclusion, diversity, and safeguarding.

- Competitive salary range from L15 - £77,209 to L19 - £84,769.
