The Opportunity:
As a School Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, students, and staff, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of a busy school with 1600 students, and the right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist visitors, students, and staff with a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain accurate records and manage the school diary and appointment system.
- Support the smooth running of school events, meetings, and administrative tasks.
- Assist with general office duties, including filing, printing, and data entry.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, tidy, and well-organised at all times.
- Provide support to other departments and staff as required.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Proficiency with office software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- A positive, team-player attitude and a professional manner.
Preferred
- Experience working in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of school systems and procedures.
- Flexibility to work across a range of duties and support the school’s needs.
