Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and impactful science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in biology, chemistry, and physics.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and support each other.
- Apply a consistent and assertive behavioural policy to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Take ownership of student progress and ensure all learners, including those with EAL, PP, and SEND needs, are supported effectively.
- Participate in departmental training and development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of well-resourced schemes of work.
- Maintain a healthy work-life balance through the use of pre-planned lessons and shared resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Science education.
- Strong subject knowledge in biology, chemistry, and physics for KS3 and KS4.
- Ability to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining a consistent behavioural policy.
- Commitment to supporting all students, including those with EAL, PP, and SEND needs.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a strong academic reputation and outstanding Ofsted ratings.
- Familiarity with centralised lesson planning and resource sharing.
- Keen interest in professional development and continuous improvement.
