The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher (Biology preferred) to join our Science department and support students in Key Stage 4. This role offers the chance to inspire young minds and make a meaningful impact on student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons with a focus on Biology within the Key Stage 4 curriculum.
  • Plan and prepare lessons that meet the needs of all learners and support academic progress.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where every student feels valued.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement Science teaching strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support students in their personal development and encourage a lifelong interest in science.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure learning outcomes are met.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A strong understanding of Biology concepts relevant to Key Stage 4.
  • Relevant qualifications in Biology or Science (degree level preferred).
  • Ability to plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Good communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.

Preferred

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or willingness to work towards it.
  • Experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 4.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching strategies and supporting diverse learners.
  • A passion for inspiring young people through science education.
