Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4 students.
• Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in Science.
• Work collaboratively with the Science department to maintain and enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that support student progress.
• Monitor and assess student performance to ensure continuous improvement.
• Support the school’s mission and values through positive role modeling and professional conduct.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning of the Science curriculum.
• Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Science Teacher with relevant subject knowledge.
• Experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Strong classroom management and delivery skills.
• Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience working in a Catholic school or similar educational environment.
• Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a department.
• Familiarity with assessment and tracking systems.
• Experience with curriculum development and innovation in Science education.
