The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons that inspire and challenge students across KS3, 4, and 5.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that promote student engagement and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental standards and share best practices.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions.
- Support the school’s vision by fostering a positive and inclusive learning culture.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of all classroom resources and technology.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Science or related subject.
- Proven experience in teaching Science at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and a desire to improve teaching practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a Science department or taking on leadership responsibilities.
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and classroom-based research.
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL) or working with diverse student groups.
- Knowledge of 21st-century pedagogy and technology integration in the classroom.
