Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to co-plan and deliver consistent, high-impact units of work.
• Support student achievement through personalized learning and regular assessment.
• Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
• Contribute to the development of the Science department and school-wide initiatives.
• Uphold and promote the school’s strong behavior policies to ensure a focused learning environment.
• Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate and necessary.
• Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Science Teacher with relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of Science curriculum and assessment practices.
• Commitment to student success and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

• Experience in a high-performing school or academy setting.
• Experience with NPQML, NPQSL, or Lead Practitioner courses.
• Experience in training and mentoring other teachers.
• Familiarity with behavior management strategies.
• Passion for Science and enthusiasm for inspiring students.
