The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-qualified Science Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. The role involves teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that foster a love of learning. This is an excellent opportunity for Early Career Teachers to grow within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Science lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Support students in achieving their academic potential through effective teaching and assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress regularly.
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure alignment with school goals and values.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to student-centered learning and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to engage with professional development and use digital learning tools.

Preferred

  • Experience working with Early Career Teachers or in a supportive teaching environment.
  • Familiarity with Google Classroom and related digital systems.
  • Experience in curriculum development or leading subject-specific initiatives.
  • A passion for promoting science and inspiring students to pursue STEM-related careers.
