Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality science lessons that engage and challenge students to GCSE standard.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that improve student outcomes and achievement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love of learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous professional development.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Stay up to date with developments in science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Support the school’s leadership programme and contribute to a culture of character development and social action.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and events that enhance student engagement and school life.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience of delivering science lessons to GCSE standard.
- Proven ability to achieve outstanding student outcomes and attainment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a faith-based or multi-faith educational setting.
- Experience with leadership development or character education programmes.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and use technology in teaching.
- Experience with curriculum development or assessment strategies.
