The Opportunity:
As a Science Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting practical science lessons and ensuring a safe, well-equipped learning environment. Your work will directly impact the quality of science education and the hands-on experiences of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare materials, chemicals, and equipment for practical lessons
- Set up and clear away experiments efficiently and safely
- Maintain laboratory equipment and manage inventory
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
- Support teachers and students during practical activities
- Assist in the delivery of assessments
- Order supplies as needed and manage stock levels
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in a laboratory or educational setting
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to handle laboratory equipment and chemicals safely
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to health and safety standards
Preferred
- Previous experience as a Science Technician
- Passion for science and education
- Proactive approach and ability to work independently
- Experience with science curriculum delivery
