The Opportunity:
As a Secondary Arts Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the creative and intellectual growth of students. You will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum of England, while contributing to a vibrant arts programme that encourages self-expression, critical thinking, and cultural awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in the arts that align with the National Curriculum of England.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and student participation.
- Develop and implement creative and innovative teaching strategies that support student learning and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the arts curriculum and contribute to extracurricular activities.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, promoting their personal and academic growth.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
- Contribute to school events and community activities that promote the arts and student engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A recognised educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.
- A certified teaching qualification such as a PGCE or QTS with an Early Career Teaching Certificate.
- Exceptional subject knowledge in the arts, with experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.
- Proven experience teaching International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE, AS/A Level.
- A strong track record of delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
- Commitment to contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities.
Preferred
- Experience working in an international school setting.
- Familiarity with the IB Diploma Programme.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Passion for the arts and a commitment to student engagement and personal development.
